Taking place Feb 2022

A huge thank you to the hundreds of people that took part in our third annual West Reading Window Wanderland in February 2021.
After a dismal year, it was our biggest and best yet.

Over 70 windows cheered up our neighbours, brightened our streets, inspired happiness and remind our community that better times will come.

In 2022 Neighbours might want to come up with a theme for their street, or even create a hunt or trail within their road's windows.

West Reading Halloween Trail

This Halloween, just because Trick was out, we still had an amazing time on the West Reading Halloween Trail. Nearly 100 houses decorated their windows and over a thousand people took to the steets with our map to find them all.
We want to thank everyone that took part and for making this such a fun community event. We were blown away by the amazing efforts people went to, and we hope you know how much it meant to the kids that took part. Lots said it was their best Halloween ever and most importantly, it was safe and a community effort. Thank you!!

Covid-19 Update

Together, we can help to make our community stronger

We are very grateful to Berkshire Community Foundation and the National Lottery Community Fund for awarding us with funding. A sincere thank you to the Berkshire Community Fund and players of The National Lottery for making this possible.

We worked with covid restirctions to bring community activity. This included the third West Reading Window Wanderland, keeping in contact with our Board Game Social Group participants and other events, as well as regular newletter updates. If you would like to organise something to help bring your neighbours together, please get in touch to see if we can support you.

Whilst on hold due to current regulations, please get in touch to find out more about organising a Play Street with your neighbours in the future. Sessions are short, resident-led road closures to let children play safely and freely outside their own front door. They help to make our streets friendlier and safer for everyone.

Find out how we can help you start one in your street.
